Thousands in need have staved off the winter chill thanks to the efforts of Sutton REALTORS®. For example, in B.C.’s Lower Mainland alone, approximately 30,000 bags of warm clothing and blankets have been collected through the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive organized by the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver for the past 15 years.
For children who otherwise would have very little, Sutton REALTORS® have delivered the joys of the season. Some dress like Santa and put toys into the hands of awestruck children. Others share their musical talents by performing at shopping malls, shelters and care facilities. Raffles and draws raise money to send children to sporting events or to purchase special equipment for children with disabilities. Some Sutton offices foster children’s potential by supporting afterschool programs and youth drop-in centres.
Endless miles of road have been traversed by Sutton REALTORS® who have walked, run or biked to raise money for advances in the care and treatment of cancer, brain trauma, diabetes and heart disease. They have helped to bring health closer to home during the holidays.
